Finding Good Downhill Lines on a Bike

Great cycle session yesterday! Everyone did really well, and I hope you are as sore as I am today.

Following a conversation with Phil about downhill lines on the bike, to improve confidence and speed I suggest watching this downhill ski legend.

Pay particular attention of how he goes wide before the turn, then just shifts his weight to follow a line that cuts the corner making you exit almost straight, meaning speed is maintained, if not gained. On a bike this means you don’t actually turn much, so your wheels won’t feel as though they are coming out from below you.

For amazing downing on a bike, I highly recommend you watch Nibali. Unfortunately you can’t see the lines as well due to cars, amazing to watch though.

Enjoy team and I look forward to seeing you next week for more pain.
